Demolition and superstition - Michel Balke and Björn Holzweg

Stones have a long history - they are contemporary witnesses of geological epochs, of human labour and of belief systems. In the exhibition Demolition and Superstition, we encounter these ancient objects not only as structural or decorative elements, but also as carriers of stories, myths and reflections on the human influence on nature. In this exhibition, the works of Michel Balke and Björn Holzweg open up a space for a deeper examination of the material „stone“ - as a symbol of destruction and new beginnings, of overcoming boundaries and belief in the supernatural.
