The Nürnberger Straße S-Bahn station in Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt is a place of transit - concrete, stairs, tracks, commuters. The wall design transforms this transit-influenced space into a large-format, walk-in collage that charges the district with colour and meaning.
Elements from Bad Cannstatt's past and present meet references from pop culture and digital visual vocabulary: the Cannstatter Wasen Ferris wheel in bright yellow, the historic Lingner toothpaste pot as an oversized motif, city map fragments, pixelated typography and the S-Bahn logo as a painterly element. The deliberately fragmentary aesthetic - different handwriting, scales and styles - reflects the heterogeneity of the neighbourhood.
