Guidance system Füssen - Secondary school

The Anton Sturm Middle School in Füssen is a new building made of wood, exposed concrete and clear, modern architecture. The task was to develop a signage system that blends in with this language and at the same time does justice to a school.

We developed a system that integrates wayfinding with the atmosphere of the space. The typographical wayfinding elements — floor numbers, room names, directional signs — take centre stage. Playful graphics frame them. The design is intended not only to structure everyday school life, but also to spark creativity — as a daily visual experience for pupils. The signage itself was designed by the Esslingen-based Design clinic planned and implemented.
