This book accompanies the legendary HWS-CREW, which is part of the The crew is the second generation of the Stuttgart graffiti scene and has significantly shaped the city in terms of graffiti. The crew always raised the bar in terms of both quality and quantity. After more than 30 years, this book now documents the group's work from 1987 to the present day on 368 pages with 648 photos. It shows the diversity of the writing with trains, bombings, line productions and legal surfaces and highlights the close contacts to Basel and Bern as well as the crew's formative journeys.

With the support of the writer Projekt_55, the book contains detailed text contributions, an interview and numerous anecdotes. Readers are immersed in a time without mobile phones and the internet, when you still had to travel from Stuttgart to Munich, Dortmund or Basel to see graffiti. While the crew members became adults and their hair slowly turned grey, the grey walls of the city had become colourful. Subsequent generations of Stuttgart writers had to come to terms with the fact that free spaces were becoming rare.
