PFFFestival 2022

Stuttgart has one of the richest graffiti histories in Germany - and yet hardly any large-scale murals that are permanently anchored in the cityscape. The PFF Festival was an attempt to change that.

As the initiator, we conceived the PFF Festival together with the Cultural Office of the City of Stuttgart and the Kunstverein Wagenhalle: an annually recurring format that brings international and local artists to Stuttgart to design facades in public spaces. Rafael Gerlach (Munich), Roids (London), Inga Krause (Bremen), Bezt (Lodz) and Marvin Daumüller (Stuttgart) kicked off 2022 - five murals in different parts of the city, created in just under three weeks.

In addition to conception and curation, we are responsible for the visual appearance of the festival as well as the annual PFFF Journal - a print publication about the walls, the artists and the curatorial context. The festival is complemented by an annual group exhibition in the project space of the Kunstverein Wagenhalle.
